What We Believe
.The Scriptures.
We believe the scriptures of the old and new testaments are the Bible. We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the original text. We believe that the King James Version of the Bible is the only Bible to be used for english-speaking people. (Ps 12:6,7 Mt 24:35, II pet 1:21, II Tim 3:16)
God.
We believe that God is a triune God, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, they are eternal and co-equal. We believe that God is all powerful. He created the world and made man in his image. (Gen 1:1, Mt 28:19, John 14:10, II Cor 13:14)
The Person and Work of Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came down to earth, born of a virgin, that was conceived by the Holy Spirit, so that he could reveal to man who God was, and that He could die on the cross to redeem us from our sin. We believe that on the third day Christ rose from the dead and after forty days ascended into heaven and is now sitting on the right hand of the Father making intercession for us. (Isa 9:6, Luke 1:35, Acts 1:3, Act 1:9,10, Rom 3:24,25, Rom 8:34, Gla 4:4,5)
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Person of God who reproves the world of sin, of righteousness, of judgment, and he is the one that indwells the believer when they get saved and has sealed them until the day of redemption. (John 16:8-11, Rom 8:9, Eph 1:13-14)
Salvation and Security of the Believer.
We believe that salvation is repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift of God and cannot be bought or earned by our works but is by faith and trust in the work that Christ did on the cross . We believe that once a person is saved they are kept by the Power of God and are secure in Christ forever. ( John 1:12, John 6:37-40, Act 20:21, Rom 8:1, Eph 2:8,9, I Pet 1:4,5 )
The Church.
We believe that the church is the Body of Christ and is made up of born-again, baptized believers who have joined together to do the will of the Father and carry out the great commission.
The local church is to be free from any external control and Christ is to be the head of the Church. (Act 14:27, Acts 20:17, I Cor 3:9 I Cor 12:12-14, I Tim 3:1-13 Titus 1:5-11, I Pet 5:1-4)
The Ordinances of the Local Church.
We believe there are two ordinances of the Local church. Baptism by immersion in water which represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The Lord's supper is done in remembrance of the death of Christ, the bread as his broken body, and the juice as his shed blood .
( Mt 26:26-28; Mt 28:19-20; Acts 2:41,42; Rom 6:3-5; I Cor 11:23-26)
The Great Commission.
We believe that Christ has given the church a great commission to “GO”. We believe it is the churches place to go and tell the world about Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ was sent to the earth to do the will of the father, now it is our place to continue this work and tell the world. The lost are not coming to us, so we must GO! (Mt 28:19-20; Acts 2; Acts 5:42; Acts 15:7; Eph 3:8)
