Greetings from Bequia,
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. On April 12th we were able to start holding bible studies at the community center here on Bequia. Our first Sunday meeting we had a total of seven, praise the Lord!! We are holding bible studies twice a week; Sunday morning at 10 and Wednesday nights at 5. Our Wednesday nights have been well attended with a high of 20+ and are geared more towards the children, with fun songs, games, and a bible lesson on the Miracles of JESUS. After the lesson McKenzie will take the kids and have a snack and craft, and I will take the adults and hold a short bible study dealing with questions they have about the Bible.
Although we are thankful for the use of the community center it has already proven to be very trying with schedule conflicts and being double booked, even though we had been promised that we would not be pushed out by other events. I tell you this so that you can pray with us about the need for a building or land that we would be able to use for a church building. I’ve had my eye on a piece of property that is on the main road right in the middle of the village. The lot is vacant and would be a great location for a church to be built. We are working on getting in contact with the owner right now so please be in prayer about this need. Lord willing our next letter we will have more information.
I want to ask you to pray with us as we minister to people here in Bequia. Before we came we knew that it would be a slow work, many people here are “religious” but lost. We have been talking to so many people that believe they are saved by baptism, keeping the Sabbath, or just doing good works. Our desire is to teach them the truth of what God has said.
