Thank you for all the prayers and support. The last three months have been very busy and eventful but God is faithful! February, we spent much time in preparation for the tent meeting, along with continuing weekly bible studies and outreach. During March, we received our flyers for the tent meetings and spent one Saturday morning canvassing the area of Paget Farm, with the kids, where we would be holding the meetings. The following Sunday morning Katie, who loved handing out the flyers, was trying to give a truck driver a flyer, she says she waited till he stopped and ran to give it to him, but some how the truck hit her and knocked her down. Thankfully, he heard her cry and stopped before he ran completely over her. we did have to rush her to the hospital via the coastguard boat. After running X-rays, ultrasounds, and about 5 days in the hospital, Katie was able to come home. We praise the Lord for watching out for her as it could have been much worse.
Katie was released from the hospital on the Thursday before the meeting began. On Saturday morning, a team of men and ladies from St. Vincent came over to set up the tent and help canvas the rest of the area with flyers. That morning it started to rain (during dry season) and the wind was extremely strong. After wrestling with the tent most of the morning we were able to get it up that afternoon. Monday, we spent in prayer and preparation for the meetings. Every night, we ran around 40-50 people with the last night having over 75 people under the tent and many outside by the road. We had four come for salvation during the two weeks of meeting and we are thankful for that. Many though, still left lost in religion. Please pray for those that attended the meeting, as we begin to disciple those that were saved and continue to reach those that left lost.
Please continue to pray for the need of a building for the church. We have been talking with a lady about a house that is suitable for our family to live up stairs and have the church downstairs. The house has sat empty for over 5 years, and there is some work that needs to go into the house before we could move in and begin holding services. We met with a lawyer about leasing the property but there are some legal details the owners need to work out before the house can be leased. Please pray that they are able to get all the proper paperwork sorted out and that we would be able to lease the house soon. As for now, we will continue to meet in families homes and under shelter along the road each week preaching and teaching.
We appreciate your prayers for the ministry and for our family as we serve the Lord here in Bequia .
In Christ
