Praise the Lord for a place to meet! The last few weeks we have had several visitors and Sunday morning we had a total of 21. We continue to have around 5-12 in our Sunday and Wednesday evening services where we have been focusing on the believer’s life, discipleship, and character studies through the Bible.
During the month of September after Hurricane Maria, several of the churches in St. Vincent were able to gather around 2 tons of food and supplies to be donated. A friend here in Bequia allowed us to use his 42’ sail boat and sail up to Dominica. After experiencing several engine and fuel problems, that we were able to fix both in port and out at sea, we were able to get the food to several pastors and churches that were in desperate need. We are thankful for the help and protection of the Lord and all the prayers overall. It was a blessing just to be able to help.
Looking ahead to March 11th- 23rd we will be having another tent meeting here in Bequia. An evangelist friend from the states will be preaching for us during the meeting, along with a few local pastors. Please pray with us that the Lord will do a great work in the hearts and lives of the people here. The tent has been a great help to our folks and we are praying about using it more both here in Bequia and also on Canouan and Union as the Lord provides.
Its a blessing to look over the last three years and see what the Lord has done in the ministry here in Bequia. It may not be a BIG ministry but I believe God is doing a great work in peoples’ hearts and lives. Our call and burden is to continue to work in the ministry here in Bequia and the surrounding islands. Regrettably, our monthly support has gradually dropped to 70% and we are limited in what we can do without the extra help of churches and fellow christians. In June of 2018 our visa expires and we will have to leave the country before we can apply for another 2 year residence visa. Shortly after that our passports will need to be renewed. After praying and seeking advice from some godly men, we believe it would be best to return to the States to raise the remainder of our support so that we are able to continue to reach Bequia and also begin to reach out to the other islands in need of the Gospel.
We have spoken with a pastor here that will be willing to fill in for us while we are gone. We are also praying together that we can find a young preacher or couple that will be willing to work with his church and our church to share the burden during the time that we are gone. To make things a little easier we will be leaving him our van to be used in the ministry between the two sides of the Island. Please pray with us concerning these needs. Our greatest desire is to see people saved here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Please help us pray over these concerns:
